As the temperature begins to soar, it is quite likely that the children’s energy is getting drained out at a fast pace. They are engaged in physical activities all day long, so make them drink yummy and nutritious juices/smoothies or let them have in the form of ice cream to keep up with their energy levels.
You can make a smoothie or turn it into an ice cream scoop to enjoy the evening time with your little explorers.
Ingredients you’ll need:
- 2-3 cups of wateremelon chunks
- 1 small banana, chopped
- 1 cup of ice
- 1 cup of yogurt
This is how you’ll make it:
- Place the chunks of watermelon in a blender.
- Add chopped pieces of banana and ice.
- Add yogurt and sugar as per your taste.
- Blend until smooth. Pour into 4-6 cups and freeze it for at least 3-4 hours.
Enjoy the ice cream on a hot summer day with your loved ones. You can add watermelon chunks and yogurt as per your need. Interestingly, this ice cream can also be treated as smoothie, just don’t freeze it.
The consistency of this smoothie is thinner but it's still a cool, refreshing way to consume a healthy dose of fruit and yogurt. What will you make; ice cream or smoothie? Let us know! Beat the heat with homemade ice cream :)
