Summer break is over and kids are still in the process of accepting routine after months’ long holidays. Let’s get them excited about school and studies by involving them in the creative process.
What you need
- Empty tissue rolls
- A piece of cloth
- Needle & thread
- Masking tape
Follow these steps to make a pencil case out of tissue roll:
Cut one of the tissue rolls into 2 parts, with the ratio of 1:3 (as shown in the picture). Join the parts of tissue rolls with masking tape or scotch tape.
Get a piece of cloth, cut it in rectangular shape. Divide it into two according to the new length of 2 rolls (one for the lower part and other for the upper part), cut it and join them back with a zipper.
Fold into half and sew the side.
Get a little piece of cardboard and cut out a circle (circle’s diameter = roll’s diameter). Make two of this. Now stick the same cloth (used to cover rolls) onto the circles and stitch both; one at them top and the other one at the bottom.
Now your pencil case is ready for use. Enjoy!
